Welcome to Hannah Dyson Photography.
I use my photography as a way of freezing time. My images capture magical moments within the landscape, where I can bring attention and life to hidden qualities and make something new of them. I aim to lure people into my images, looking at abstract forms they might normally overlook, but see in a new light.
My choice of subject comes from the beautiful countryside that I live in and is fuelled by the landscapes that are on offer, throughout the seasons. The seasons alone are inspiring enough to capture magical moments as our world transforms. I use both fast and slow shutter speeds, fast for really freezing that moment in time, and slow to portray more of a recorded moment, as something always changes in those few seconds which can be recorded in a photograph, but not necessarily seen through the eye.
I am inspired by light and the dramatic effects it has on the landscape. I am enthused by the way a certain scene can trigger memories, which I capture, to keep those memories alive, frozen in time.
